Core Focus on Math©2014 is a middle school math curriculum series that spans the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) students need to learn in 6th grade through high school Algebra I.
While including the strengths of the Oregon Focus on Math Series©2008, the foundation of the program is built on the CCSS Priority Clusters (also known as the Critical Areas) as well as strategies to develop the habits of mind in students articulated in the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
There are three texts per grade level, each focusing on multiple clusters of standards in the Common Core and collectively addressing the complete grade level standards.
Mystery Science – K-5
here are 1 billion children in the world today—and we’re making it possible for them to explore any question they have, wherever they are. We’re collecting every question children ask and creating video explanations for all of them—not just Why questions, but also How questions—step-by-step guides for anything they want to do. We think this will be the most important learning tool ever created for children.
Our ultimate purpose is to ensure the next generation of children grow up and see that it’s an amazing world we live in, full of possibility and wonder—and that they develop the ability to figure things out for themselves.
Amplify Science blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools to empower students to think, read, write, and argue like real scientists and engineers.
