I am Sondra Gorden the first grade teacher this year at Luckiamute Valley Charter School. I have been a teacher for over 14 years and have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and now 1st grade. I decided to become an educator so I could inspire children to learn, just as my teachers fostered my love of knowledge.
I am an avid world traveler! My father and husband were both in the Air Force, so I have lived all over the world in places like Guam, Okinawa, Germany, England, and numerous states. I have traveled to Greece, Italy, Sicily, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Switzerland, Austria, and many more countries. I graduated from the University of Great Falls in Montana.
Besides being a wife, a mother to two children, and an educator I have been actively involved with People to People for the last 10 years. People to People is an Ambassador Program helping young children become future leaders of our country. It is a passion of mine to help students understand and appreciate our country’s history.
